Conference on business and human rights to analyze the implementation of the UNGP

Business and Human Rights (BHR) gathered some experts from different countries to analyze the implementation on the UN Guiding Principles and the ongoing national plans. The conference, which coincided with the one-year anniversary of the Rana Plaza building collapse in Bangladesh that took the lives of 1,100 workers, was organized by Business and Human Rights in collaboration with the British Embassy in Madrid. The discussion was also collaborated with the Spanish Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. Participants discussed the responsibility that governments, companies, unions and civil society have to uphold human rights in relation to business activities.
