CSDDD_ European Due Diligence Directive

Since the climate objectives of the Paris agreements (2015) and the Green Pact (2019) (which pursue a growth strategy that transforms the Union into a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy, where net greenhouse gas emissions have ceased by 2050, economic growth is decoupled from resource use, and no people or places are left behind), companies are adapting to create sustainable business models for the long term in environmental, social and governance terms.

In parallel to existing regulations and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the European Economic Community is in the process of adopting a directive on corporate environmental and human rights due diligence (CSDDD).

In order to develop long-term strategies and plans that can be endorsed by the imminent approval of the European directive (and its subsequent local transposition), companies are reviewing their due diligence systems.

From BHR we propose a quick and easy way to verify the situation of your company with respect to some of the key points regarding Due Diligence introduced by the European Directive CSDDD:

Do you have the due diligence system your company needs?
