About the event

Due to the approval of the Spanish Plan for Business and Human Rights by the Council of Ministers in July 2017, Foment del Treball and Business and Human Rights (BHR) co-organize the conference "The current Business and Human Rights agenda: challenges and opportunities".

The event seeks to make companies aware of the growing importance that this issue is acquiring, as a consequence of the new regulations that are currently in the process of being applied, such as the European Directive on on disclosure of non-financial and diversity information by large companies or the measures included in the Spanish Plan for Business and Human Rights recently approved. Investors' role in this issue will also be referenced, by providing data on the financial relevance of the topic.

The event aims to offer a deeper understanding of which are the subjects that should be present in companies’ agendas, as well as the challenges and opportunities that arise regarding this issue.
